Appearance: Reddish yellow oily liquid
Boiling Point: 186-187 ºC at 5mm Hg

Stability:  It is relatively stable in a neutral medium but hydrolysis occurs in both acidic and basic media. The rate of hydrolysis is more rapid under basic conditions.
