Applications
Pinoxaden belongs to phenylpyrazoline herbicide, and its mechanism of action is acetyl-coA carboxylase (ACC) inhibitor. Caused by fatty acid synthesis, split the cell growth stopped contain fat cell membrane structure was damaged, killing weeds. It is mainly used for controlling annual gramineous weeds in wheat fields.
Description: A herbicide for post-emergence control of annual grass weeds in some cereal crops
Example pests controlled: Annual grasses including blackgrass, bluegrass, common windgrass, reed canary grass, foxtail, Avena spp.
Example applications: Cereals including winter & spring barley, winter wheat, durum wheat, Rye, Triticale.

Application/Uses |
Biochemistry Branched chain amino acid synthesis (ALS or AHAS) inhibitor. Acts by inhibiting biosynthesis of the essential amino acids valine and isoleucine, hence stopping cell division and plant growth. Mefenpyr-diethyl enhances metabolism of the herbicide selectively in cereal crop plants. Uses For early to mid post-emergence control of grass and some broad-leaved weeds in winter, spring and durum wheat, triticale and rye, at 15 g/ha. For use in combination with mefenpyr-diethyl at 45 g/ha. |
