Bifenazate is a carbazate acaricide that control 100% of mites at a concentration of 25 ppm[1]. Bifenazate is a positive allosteric modulator of GABA receptor.
Etoxazole is non-systemic acaricide with effect on eggs, larvae and nymphs, with no effect on adults. Controls many phytophagous mites (Tetranychus, Panonychus spp.) in citrus, pome fruit, vegetables and strawberries, at 50 g/ha, and in tea, at 100 g/ha.
1. Basic Information
Components: Bifenazate and Etoxazole
Type: Acaricide
Mode of Action:
Abamectin: Enhances the effect of the neurotransmitter GABA, causing nerve paralysis and death in pests.
Bifenazate: Disrupts energy metabolism in mites, inhibiting their growth and reproduction.
2. Application Scope
Target Crops: Widely used on fruit trees (e.g., citrus, apples), vegetables, cotton, tea, and more.
Target Pests:
Mites: Red spider mites, two-spotted spider mites, yellow tea mites, etc.
3. Usage Method
Application Timing: Apply during the early stages of mite infestation or as a preventive measure.
Application Method: Foliar spray, ensuring even coverage, especially on the undersides of leaves.
Dosage: Adjust based on the crop type and severity of mite infestation; refer to the product label for specific instructions.
Frequency: Typically applied every 7-10 days, adjusted according to the development of pest or mite infestation.
4. Precautions
Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Adhere to the required time interval between the last application and harvest to ensure agricultural product safety.
Protective Measures: Wear protective clothing, gloves, and masks during application to avoid skin contact and inhalation.
Environmental Safety: Avoid contaminating water sources and properly dispose of leftover chemicals and packaging.
Resistance Management: Rotate with pesticides of different modes of action to delay the development of pest or mite resistance.
5. Advantages
Broad-Spectrum Efficacy: Controls a variety of mites, reducing the number of applications.
Synergistic Effect: The two components work together to enhance control efficacy.
Long-Lasting Effect: Reduces the frequency of applications, lowering labor costs.
6. Storage and Transportation
Storage: Store in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place, away from food, feed, and children.
Transportation: Avoid high temperatures, humidity, and severe shaking to prevent damage to packaging.
The Bifenazate·Etoxazole mixture is a highly effective, broad-spectrum acaricide suitable for various crops. It effectively controls the mites such as red spider and two-maculata. When using, pay attention to the pre-harvest interval, protective measures, and environmental safety. Rotate with other pesticides to delay resistance development.
