Chemical Name: 5-tert-butyl-3-(2,4-dichloro-5-isopropoxyphenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol- 2(3H)-one.

Description: 
Appearance : white crystal without odour.
Melting   Point: 91-94°C.
Vapour Pressure: 0.0133 m Pa  at  20°C.
Stability : Solubility in water 0.7mg/L, and  in methyl or ethyl is 100g/l; in cyclohexane is 200g/l; in acetone is 600g/l;in benzene, chloroform, dimethyl benzene is 1000g/l.

Toxicity: Oral LD50 8000 mg/kg, dermal LD50 ( rabbits) is greater than 8000 mg/kg, acute in halation LC₅₀>200mg/l. Subacute toxicity (rat): no effect level is 1000mg/kg/d, Chronic toxicity to rat no effect level is 25mg/kg/d; dog is 15mg/kg/d.

Uses: Oxadiazon is a selective, peremergent herbicide for control of many annual grasses and broadleaf weeds in turf and on a wide variety of woody ornamental shrubs, vines and trees. It controls weeds by killin the young weed seedlings as they come in contact with herbicide during germination.
