Applications
| Mode of action: |
Acetochler is a herbicide for selective prebud treatment. It is mainly absorbed by the coleoptile sheath of monocotyledons or the hypocotyls of dicotyledons, and then transmitted upward. It inhibits cell growth mainly by hindering protein synthesis, so as to stop the growth of weed shoots and young roots, and then die. |

Description: A chloroacetanilide herbicide used mainly pre-emergence or pre-planting to control annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds
Example pests controlled: Annual grasses including feathertop chloris, goosegrass, sweet buffalo grass and crab grass; Certain broadleaf weeds including morning glory, marigold, pigweed and cocklebur; Yellow nutsedge
Example applications: Vegetables including cabbage, peas and onions; Fruit including citrus, apples, pears, plums, apricots; Coffee; Corn; Sugarbeet; Sugarcane; Potatoes |
Pendimethalin is a selective herbicide used to control most annual grasses and certain broadleaf weeds in field corn, potatoes, rice, cotton, soybeans, tobacco, peanuts, and sunflowers. It is used both pre-emergence, that is before weed seeds have sprouted, and early post-emergence.
Oxyfluorfen is a selective pre- and post-emergent herbicide used to control certain annual broadleaf and grassy weeds in vegetables, fruit, cotton, ornamentals, and on non-crop areas (e.g. rail- and highway right-of-ways). It is a contact herbicide and light is required for it to affect target plants.
