Suitable crops: wheat; It is safe for cereal crops and has no influence on succeeding crops, and has high compatibility with environment and ecology.
Iodosulfuron-methyl sodium + Mefenpyr-diethyl is a herbicide combination used primarily in cereal crops (wheat, barley, rye, and triticale) for post-emergence control of grassy and broadleaf weeds.
Target Crops:
Winter and spring wheat, barley, rye, and triticale.
Some formulations may be used in other crops (check local regulations).
Weeds Controlled:
Grassy weeds:
Avena fatua (Wild oats)
Alopecurus myosuroides (Blackgrass)
Phalaris minor (Canary grass)
Broadleaf weeds:
Galium aparine (Cleavers)
Matricaria chamomilla (Wild chamomile)
Viola arvensis (Field pansy)
Stellaria media (Common chickweed)
Mode of Action:
Iodosulfuron-methyl sodium: A sulfonylurea herbicide that inhibits ALS (acetolactate synthase), disrupting amino acid synthesis in weeds.
Mefenpyr-diethyl: A safener that protects cereal crops from herbicide injury by enhancing detoxification.
Application Method:
Foliar spray (post-emergence).
Applied at early weed growth stages (2-4 leaves for grasses, rosette stage for broadleaves).
Dosage: Typically 10-20 g/ha iodosulfuron + 15-30 g/ha mefenpyr-diethyl (varies by formulation).
Advantages:
Effective against ALS-resistant weeds.
Low use rates (reduces environmental load).
Crop safety due to mefenpyr-diethyl safener.
Limitations:
Not effective on all weed species (check label).
May require adjuvants (e.g., surfactants) for optimal performance.
Rainfastness: Usually 1-2 hours after application.
