Pyriproxyfen is a juvenile hormone analog, preventing larvae from developing into adulthood and thus rendering them unable to reproduce. Pyriproxyfen is a pyridine-based pesticide which is found to be effective against a variety of arthropoda.
Technical Requirements for Use:
It is recommended to apply the first treatment during the initial stage of whitefly infestation, and the second treatment can be applied 7-10 days later. The appropriate amount of water for dilution per mu (Chinese acre) is 30-45 kilograms. This product is sensitive to melon and legume crops, so care should be taken to avoid drift onto these crops during application. Do not apply during windy conditions or if rain is expected within one hour.
Product Performance:
This product is a compound insecticide combining a phenyl ether compound and a neonicotinoid, exhibiting both contact and stomach poisoning effects. It has rapid activity against whiteflies.
Precautions:
The safety interval for use on tomatoes is 5 days, with a maximum of 2 applications per crop season.
Do not smoke, drink, or eat during use. Wash hands, face, and other exposed skin areas, and change clothes promptly after use.
Be mindful of the impact on birds. This product is toxic to bees and silkworms. Avoid affecting nearby bee colonies during application. Do not use during the flowering period of crops, near silkworm rearing areas, or mulberry fields. Avoid use in areas where natural enemies such as Trichogramma are released.
Avoid application near aquaculture areas, ponds, or other water bodies. Do not clean application equipment in ponds or other water bodies.
Dispose of used packaging properly. Do not reuse or repurpose it. Store unused product in its original packaging and avoid placing it in food or drink containers.
It is recommended to rotate with other insecticides having different modes of action to delay the development of resistance.
Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid contact with this product.
First Aid Measures:
If discomfort occurs during or after use, stop working immediately, take first aid measures, and bring the product label to the hospital for treatment.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing, wipe off the pesticide with a soft cloth, and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and soap.
Eye contact: Rinse immediately with running water for at least 15 minutes.
Inhalation: Leave the application site immediately and move to an area with fresh air.
Ingestion: Stop ingestion immediately, rinse the mouth thoroughly with water, and bring the pesticide label to the hospital for treatment.
Storage and Transportation:
Store in a dry, cool, ventilated, and rain-proof place, away from fire or heat sources. Keep out of reach of children, unauthorized personnel, and animals, and store under lock. Do not store or transport with food, seeds, beverages, or other similar items.
