Appearance : off-white solid
Melting Point: Two crystal structures: 91.5-92.5 and 98-100.
Vapour Pressure: 0.025mpa at 20°C.
Stability : Solubility in water 170mg/L at 20°C, solubility in acetone 177g/l, in dichloromethane 353g/l, in acetic acid 92.5 g/l.
Toxicity: Oral LD50(rat) 3820/kg, dermal LD50 ( rat) is greater than 8,000 mg/kg to greater than 3100 mg/kgInhal.LC50 rat without effect 5.2mg/L.
Uses: It is used for prevention and control of wheat leaf rust, bean rust, barley scattered smut, cotton fusarium wilt and verticillium wilt. To treat seed with 0.5%-0.8% carboxin (For seed dressing, use 20% emulsified oil 500-1000ml every 100kg seed). It is useful to prevent Chinese sorghum, millet and maize from filar smut with low use level. For instance, only 6-7g is used for each mu seed when you dress Chinese sorghum seed. It is not toxic to person and livestock. It has no chemical harm to cereal. But it is reported that it has a slight chemical harm to cotton. Also it could be used as a wood preservative.
