Applications

Penoxsulam is a translocated herbicide that is absorbed through the stems, young shoots, and roots, and is transported through the xylem and phloem to the meristem, where it inhibits plant growth, causing chlorophyll loss in the growing point. After treatment, the tip of the shoot turns red and dies within 7-14 days, and the plant dies within 2-4 weeks. This herbicide is a strong inhibitor of acetyl coenzyme A synthetase, and the effect of the herbicide is slow, and it takes some time for the weeds to gradually die.
Penoxsulam is a broad-spectrum herbicide for rice fields, which can effectively control rice weeds (including rice weeds resistant to metribuzin, atrazine, and acetyl coenzyme A carboxylase), sesbania, and one-year-old cyperaceae weeds, and is effective against many broad-leaved weeds, such as Heteranthera limosa, Eclipta prostrata, Sesbania exaltata, Commelina diffusa, and Monochoria vaginalis. The residual effect can last for 30-60 days, and a single application can effectively control the entire season's weed damage. At the same time, it can also control weeds resistant to bensulfuron in rice fields, and has residual activity against many broad-leaved and cyperaceae weeds and rice weeds, making it the most versatile herbicide for rice fields.

Fenoxaprop-P-ethyl is a selective herbicide with contact and systemic action, absorbed principally by the leaves, with translocation both acropetally and basipetally to the roots or rhizomes.
