Applications

Bifenthrin is a synthetic pyrethroid insecticide that prolongs opening of sodium channels resulting in membrane depolarization and conductance block in the insect nervous system. Bifenthrin is effective against A. gambiae and C. quinquefasciatus mosquitos (LD50s = 0.15 and 0.16 ng/mg, respectively) and increases O. insidiosus mortality in treated corn and sorghum plants.

Thiacloprid, a chloronicotinyl insecticide, is targeted chiefly to control aphid pest species in orchards and vegetables[1]. Thiacloprid destabilizes DNA. Thiacloprid changes the structure and stability of DNA through binding into the minor groove by hydrophobic or hydrogen interactions[2].

Technical Requirements for Use:

  1. Apply this product during the peak hatching period or early nymph stage of tea green leafhoppers and whiteflies on tea plants, ensuring uniform spray coverage. For peach trees, spray once during the initial peak period of aphid infestation. For bok choy, spray once when there are 1-2 adult striped flea beetles per plant, preferably during periods when the adults are less active.

  2. Shake well before use. Dilute with 40-60 liters of water per mu.

  3. On tea plants, apply no more than once per season with a safety interval of 14 days. On peach trees, apply no more than once per season with a safety interval of 14 days. On bok choy, apply no more than once per season with a safety interval of 7 days.

Product Performance:
This product is a combination of bifenthrin and thiacloprid. Bifenthrin is a highly effective synthetic pyrethroid insecticide and acaricide. Thiacloprid is a chloronicotinyl insecticide with strong systemic, contact, and stomach toxicity, which is absorbed through the foliage and distributed within the plant.

Precautions:

  1. Strictly follow the recommended dosage and application methods.

  2. This product is toxic to bees, fish, and other aquatic organisms, as well as silkworms. Avoid application during flowering periods of nectar-producing plants, near areas where natural enemies like Trichogramma are released, and near silkworm rooms or mulberry fields. Keep away from aquaculture areas and do not clean application equipment in water bodies such as rivers or ponds.

  3. Rinse application equipment three times after use. Avoid contaminating water sources when cleaning equipment or disposing of waste.

  4. Wear protective clothing and gloves during application to avoid inhaling the solution. Do not eat, drink, or smoke while handling the product. Wash hands and face thoroughly after use.

  5. Dispose of used packaging and containers properly. Do not repurpose or discard them carelessly.

  6. Pregnant and breastfeeding women must avoid contact with this product.

  7. Avoid contact with oxidizers.

First Aid Measures for Poisoning:
Symptoms of poisoning include a stinging sensation at the contact site, especially around the mouth and nose, but without redness. Large exposures may cause headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, trembling hands, and in severe cases, convulsions, seizures, coma, or shock.

  • Inhalation: Move the patient to a well-ventilated area.

  • Skin or eye contact: Rinse with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes and seek medical attention if necessary.

  • Ingestion: Seek immediate medical attention. Bring the product label to the hospital. If bifenthrin is determined to be the primary cause of poisoning, there is no specific antidote, and treatment should be symptomatic. Gastric lavage may be performed for large ingestions, but do not induce vomiting.

Storage and Transportation:

  1. Store in a dry, cool, ventilated, and rainproof place, away from fire or heat sources.

  2. Avoid direct sunlight.

  3. Keep out of reach of children, unauthorized personnel, and animals, and store under lock.

  4. Do not store or transport with food, beverages, seeds, feed, or grains. Handle with care during transportation.
