Flufiprole is a new insecticide with high activity, wide insecticidal spectrum and safe for human, animal and aquatic organisms developed on the basis of fipronil, which has been applied on vegetables, fruit trees, fields and other crops to obtain ideal insecticidal effects. The chemical name of butenyl fipronil is 3-cyano-5-methyl allylamino-1-(2,6-dichloro-4-trifluoromethylphenyl)-4-trifluoromethylsulfinyl pyrazole, and the pure product is white powder. Melting point is 172~174ºC, solubility in 25ºC water 0.02g/l, in ethyl acetat 260.02g/l; set in acid, alkali stable and neutral medium at room temperature. The original drug is low toxicity in oral and percutaneous tests. 5% of the emulsion formulation has an acute oral LD50 of >4640 mg/kg for rats (male and female); acute percutaneous LD50 (male and female) >2150 mg/kg; LD50 for silkworms >5000 mg/l; highly toxic to bees, low toxic to fish and silkworms; moderately toxic or low toxic to birds. Heavy irritation to human eyes, weakly sensitizing to skin.
