Applications
Thiamethoxam is a broad spectrum neonicotinoid insecticide.
As a seed treatment, for control of Fusarium spp., Microdochium, Rhizoctonia, Tilletia, Pyrenophora and Septoria in both cereal and non-cereal crops, at 2.5-10 g/100 kg. As a foliar fungicide, for control of Botrytis, Monilinia, Sclerotinia, and Alternaria in grapes, stone fruit, berry crops, vegetables, and ornamentals, at 250-500 g/ha; Also on turf, against Fusarium, Helminthosporium, Rhizoctonia, Sclerotinia and Typhula, at 400-800 g/ha. Also as a post-harvest treatment on stonefruit at 30-60 g/hl against Botrytis, Monilinia and Penicillium.
Difenoconazole is a broad-spectrum triazole fungicide that inhibits ergosterol biosynthesis via inhibition of the cytochrome P450-dependent 14α-demethylation of lanosterol, which results in disruption of the fungal cell membrane and cell death. Difenoconazole inhibits the growth of F. graminearum isolates in vitro (EC50s = 1.69-19.6 mg/L for mycelial growth). Difenoconazole also inhibits growth of A. sonali, F. fulva, B. cinerea, and R. solani (EC50s = 0.131 mg/L, 0.069 mg/L, 0.297 mg/L, and 0.252 mg/L, respectively).
