Herbicide Glyphosate that may be applied preplant or preemergence to over 150 crops for control of annual and perennial weeds, woody brush, and trees. Use post directed in tree and plantation crops, postemergence over Roundup* Ready soybeans, and postharvest in fallow periods and noncropland. For annual and perennial grasses and broadleaf weeds in plantation and other crops, and general weed control in noncropland and as no-tillage in farmland.
Saflufenacil is registered as a selective herbicide, developed for the control of broadleaf weeds by pre-plant and pre-emergence applications to cereal small grains, corn, chickpeas, cotton, edible beans, edible peas, lentils, lupine, sorghum, soybeans, and sunflowers. It is a broad-spectrum herbicide belonging to the protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitor class. It is primarily used to control a variety of broadleaf weeds and some grass weeds.
Glyphosate: A non-selective systemic herbicide that inhibits the EPSP synthase enzyme, disrupting the growth of a wide range of weeds.
Saflufenacil: A protoporphyrinogen oxidase (PPO) inhibitor that provides rapid burndown of emerged weeds, including glyphosate-resistant species.
Broadleaf Weeds: Pigweed, lambsquarters, ragweed, morning glory, and other broadleaf species.
Grass Weeds: Annual and perennial grasses, including glyphosate-resistant varieties.
Brush and Vines: Effective against woody plants and vines in non-crop areas.
Agricultural Crops: Used as a burndown herbicide in crops like corn, soybeans, and cotton (pre-plant or pre-emergence).
Non-Crop Areas: Roadsides, fence lines, industrial sites, and other non-agricultural areas.
No-Till Systems: Ideal for weed control in no-till or conservation tillage systems.
Dilution Ratio: Dilute according to the manufacturer's instructions, based on the target weeds and application area.
Application Rate: Typically applied at a rate of 0.5-1.5 liters per hectare (check the label for specific recommendations).
Application Method: Foliar spray, ensuring thorough coverage of the target weeds.
Application Timing: Apply during active weed growth for optimal results. For pre-plant burndown, apply 7-14 days before planting.
Pre-Harvest Interval: Adhere to the safety interval specified on the label to ensure the safety of the harvested crop.
Protective Measures: Wear protective clothing, gloves, and masks during application to avoid skin and eye contact.
Environmental Safety: Avoid spraying near water sources to protect aquatic life and non-target plants.
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, children, and food.
Can be mixed with other herbicides or adjuvants, but conduct a small-scale compatibility test first to avoid adverse reactions.
Rotate with herbicides of different modes of action to prevent the development of herbicide-resistant weeds.
The Glyphosate·Saflufenacil mixture is highly effective against a wide range of broadleaf weeds, grasses, and brush, including glyphosate-resistant species. Proper application, adherence to safety guidelines, and resistance management are essential for optimal results and environmental protection. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for use.
