Applications

Mode of action:

Acetochler is a herbicide for selective prebud treatment. It is mainly absorbed by the coleoptile sheath of monocotyledons or the hypocotyls of dicotyledons, and then transmitted upward. It inhibits cell growth mainly by hindering protein synthesis, so as to stop the growth of weed shoots and young roots, and then die.

Description: A chloroacetanilide herbicide used mainly pre-emergence or pre-planting to control annual grasses and some broad-leaved weeds Example pests controlled: Annual grasses including feathertop chloris, goosegrass, sweet buffalo grass and crab grass; Certain broadleaf weeds including morning glory, marigold, pigweed and cocklebur; Yellow nutsedge Example applications: Vegetables including cabbage, peas and onions; Fruit including citrus, apples, pears, plums, apricots; Coffee; Corn; Sugarbeet; Sugarcane; Potatoes

 
Clomazone is a selective pre-sprout herbicide. It is used as closing treatment during post-planting and pre-sprouting. The product has high effect to control annual weeds of soybean, cotton, maixe etc. Field such as Echinochloa crus-galli. Polugonum bungeaanum. Chenopodium album. Setaria viridis. Abutllon the ophrasti. Solanum nigrum. Xanthium sibiricum, Amaranthus retroflexus etc.
Biochemistry Inhibits carotenoid biosynthesis; Target enzyme not known. Selective herbicide, bsorbed by the roots and shoots and translocated upward. Susceptible species emerge but are devoid of pigmentation. Uses Control of broad-leaved and grass weeds in soya beans, peas, maize, oilseed rape, sugar cane, cassava, pumpkins, and tobacco. Applied preemergence or preplant incorporated.
Phytotoxicity Foliarcontact or vapours may cause visual symptoms of chlorosis to nearby sensitive plants. Formulation types CS. EC. WP.
Compatibility Compatible with many other herbicides, e. G. Metribuzin, linuron, chloramben, alachlor, trifluralin, pendimethalin, metolachlor, oryzalin or ethalfluralin.

Flumioxazin is an N-phenylphthalimide herbicide. The mode of action in this family of chemistry is believed to be inhibition of protoporphyrinogen oxidase, an enzyme important in the synthesis of chlorophyll. It provides residual control of susceptible weeds including pigweeds, common ragweed, dandelion, green foxtail, common lamb's-quarters, eastern black nightshade and hairy nightshade.
