Applications
Insecticide with contact and stomach action. Fast-acting with moderately long residual activity. Control of leafhoppers (at 900-1200 g/ha), planthoppers, aphids, capsids, bugs, etc., on rice, cocoa, sugar cane, vegetables and other crops.
Clothianidin is a systemic insecticide which acts as acute contact and stomach poison. Clothianidin belongs to the chemical class of insecticides known as neonicotinoids and is classified by the Insecticide Resistance Action Committee (IRAC) as "nicotinic Acetylcholine receptor agonist / antagonist".
Clothianidin has a broad spectrum of activity, particularly against sucking insects such as aphids, leaf hoppers, thrips and white flies. Furthermore, various species of beetles (e. G. Atomaria spp., Agriotes lineatus, Diabrotica spp. ) and some species of flies (e. G. Oscinella frit and Pegomyia spp. ) and cut worm (e. G. Agrotis spp. ) are effectively controlled. Clothanidin shows no efficacy against spider mites and nematodes. Products containing clothianidin are used as foliar and soil applications as well as seed treatments.
Thiacloprid is a chloronicotinyl insecticide for the control of a wide range of insects. It acts as an agonist of nicotinergic acetylcholine receptors (nAChR) and it is therefore effective against insects resistant to acetylcholinesterase inhibitors (e. G. Organophosphorus and carbamate insecticides). It is used for control of Homoptera (especially aphids) and Coleoptera in cereals, oilseed rape, potato, sugar beet, pome and stone fruits, fruiting vegetables, cucurbits, brassica vegetables, lettuce and pulses and many others.
Mode of Action: Disruption of the nervous system by acting as an inhibitor at nicotinic acetylcholine receptors.
