Applications

Nicosulfuron is a selective herbicide belonging to the sulfonylurea family. Nicosulfuron is commonly used as a post-emergence herbicide to protect maize crops from weeds. Nicosulfuron inhibits acetolactate synthase (ALS) enzyme activity. It is a systemic conduction herbicide, can be used in corn field. It can prevent and eliminate 27 kinds of annual weeds and perennial broadleaf weeds such as Echinochloa crusgalli P. beauv etc.. It has better effectiveness to Lambs's-quarters and reed.
Selective postemergence control in maize of annual grass weeds including Setaria, Echinochloa, Digitaria, Panicum, Lolium, and Avena spp., broad-leaved weeds including Amaranthus spp. and Cruciferae, and perennials such as Sorghum halepense and Agropyron repens. Applied at 35-70 g/ha.

Butomus umbellatus, Scirpus maritimus, Scirpus mucronatus, Alisma plantago-aquatica, Sparganium erectum, Cyperus spp., Typha spp., etc. ) in flooded or wetland rice, at 46-60 g/ha. For barley, field corn, flax, garlic, mint, oats, onions, popcorn, rye, seedling alfalfa, sorghum, triticale, wheat, forage grasses, grass for sod and seed protection, and alfalfa in Conservation Reserve Program.
