Applications

Deltamethrin is a pyrethroid insecticide that kills insects on contact and through digestion. It is used to control apple and pear suckers, plum fruit moth, caterpillars on brassicas, pea moth, aphids (apples, plums, hops), winter moth (apples and plums), codling and tortrix moths (apples). Control of aphids, mealy bugs, scale insects, and whitefly on glasshouse cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, potted plants, and ornamentals. It also controls numerous insect pests of field crops.

Methoxyfenozide, a diacylhydrazine insecticide, selectively binds to lepidopteran ecdysone receptors (EcRs) over dipteran EcRs with Kd values of 0.5 and 124 nM, respectively. Methoxyfenozide is lethal to neonatal larvae of S. exigua, S. frugiperda, T. ni, O. nubilalis, L. pomonella, H. zea, and H. virescens (LC50s=0.35, 0.2, 0.11, 0.18, 0.21, 0.79, and 3.12 mg/L, respectively).

Technical Requirements for Use:

  1. The optimal application period for this product is during the early larval stage of the beet armyworm on spinach. Apply once with a water volume of 40-50 kg per mu, ensuring even spraying. Adjust the water volume based on the crop variety, growth stage, and type of application equipment, ensuring thorough coverage until the liquid is about to drip.

  2. Do not apply during windy conditions or if rainfall is expected within 1 hour.

  3. The safety interval for use on spinach is 5 days, with a maximum of 1 application per crop season.

Product Performance:
This product is an insecticide composed of methoxyfenozide and deltamethrin. Methoxyfenozide belongs to the diacylhydrazine class of insect growth regulators, stimulating insect molting hormone receptors and exhibiting strong chemosterilant effects. Deltamethrin, a pyrethroid insecticide, primarily acts through contact and stomach poisoning, with some repellent and antifeedant effects. The combination of the two is used to control the beet armyworm on spinach.

Precautions:

  1. Strictly follow the recommended dosage and application method.

  2. Rotate with insecticides of different mechanisms to delay resistance development.

  3. Do not discard or dispose of pesticide packaging waste arbitrarily; return it promptly to a pesticide packaging waste collection station. Do not clean application equipment in water bodies such as rivers or ponds, and do not pour leftover liquid indiscriminately. Avoid use near aquaculture areas, rivers, ponds, or other water bodies. Do not use during the flowering period of the treated field or surrounding plants, and closely monitor the impact on nearby bee colonies. Avoid use near silkworm rearing areas, mulberry fields, or areas where natural enemies like ladybugs are released.

  4. This product is moderately irritating to the eyes. Wear long sleeves, pants, hats, masks, gloves, and shoes during application. Do not eat, drink, or smoke during application. Wash hands, face, and clothing promptly after application.

  5. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid contact with this product.

First Aid Measures for Poisoning:
If discomfort occurs during or after use, stop working immediately, take first aid measures, and bring the product label to the hospital.

  • Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing, wipe off the pesticide with a soft cloth, and rinse thoroughly with plenty of water and soap.

  • Eye contact: Rinse immediately with running water for at least 15 minutes.

  • Ingestion: Stop intake immediately, rinse the mouth thoroughly with water, and bring the pesticide label to the hospital for symptomatic treatment.

Storage and Transportation Methods:

  1. Store in a cool, dry, ventilated, and rain-proof place. Do not store upside down. Keep away from fire and heat sources.

  2. Store out of reach of children, unauthorized personnel, and animals, and keep locked.

  3. Do not store or transport with food, beverages, grains, seeds, or feed.

  4. Protect from sunlight and rain during transportation. Wear protective gear during loading and unloading, and handle with care to ensure containers do not leak, collapse, fall, or get damaged.
