Applications

Deltamethrin is a pyrethroid insecticide that kills insects on contact and through digestion. It is used to control apple and pear suckers, plum fruit moth, caterpillars on brassicas, pea moth, aphids (apples, plums, hops), winter moth (apples and plums), codling and tortrix moths (apples). Control of aphids, mealy bugs, scale insects, and whitefly on glasshouse cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, potted plants, and ornamentals. It also controls numerous insect pests of field crops.

Fenobucarb is an extensively used carbamate insecticide. Fenobucarb induces zebrafish developmental neurotoxicity through pathways involved in inflammation, oxidative stress, degeneration and apoptosis. Fenobucarb is a possible risk factor to cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems in animals.

Technical Requirements for Use:

  1. Apply during the peak period of aphid infestation, ensuring even spraying on both the upper and lower surfaces of the leaves.

  2. During summer, apply in the early morning or late evening when temperatures are lower and wind is minimal. Avoid application between 10 AM and 4 PM on hot, sunny days. Do not apply during windy conditions or if rainfall is expected within 1 hour.

  3. The safety interval for this product is 7 days on cruciferous vegetables such as cabbage and radish, and 14 days on kale. Use no more than 2 times per crop season.

Product Performance:
This product is an insecticide composed of pyrethroid and carbamate pesticides. It has contact and stomach poisoning effects, along with certain repellent and antifeedant properties. It inhibits the synthesis of cholinesterase in pests, effectively controlling aphids on cruciferous vegetables.

Precautions:

  1. Do not mix with alkaline pesticides or other substances.

  2. Wear protective gear during use to avoid contact with eyes and skin. Do not eat or drink during application. Wash hands and face promptly after application.

  3. This product is highly toxic to fish and aquatic organisms. Apply away from aquaculture areas, and do not clean application equipment in rivers or ponds. It is also toxic to bees and silkworms. Avoid impact on nearby bee colonies during application. Do not use during the flowering period of nectar crops or near silkworm rearing areas and mulberry fields.

  4. Rotate with insecticides of different mechanisms to delay resistance development.

  5. Pregnant and breastfeeding women should avoid contact.

  6. Dispose of used containers properly. Do not repurpose or discard them arbitrarily.

First Aid Measures for Poisoning:

  1. Symptoms of fenobucarb poisoning include dizziness, headache, fatigue, pale complexion, nausea, vomiting, constricted pupils, blurred vision, and in severe cases, low blood pressure, confusion, contact dermatitis (e.g., rash, redness, itching), conjunctival congestion, tearing, chest tightness, and difficulty breathing. Symptoms of deltamethrin poisoning include stinging sensation on the skin (without redness), headache, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, trembling hands, and in severe cases, convulsions, seizures, coma, or shock.

  2. If inhaled, move the patient to a well-ventilated area. In case of skin contact or eye exposure, rinse thoroughly with plenty of water for at least 15 minutes. If ingested, take the patient to the hospital immediately with the product label for symptomatic treatment. For fenobucarb poisoning, atropine can be used as an antidote, with adrenaline added for severe cases. Avoid using pralidoxime, obidoxime, toxogonin, or morphine. For deltamethrin poisoning, provide symptomatic treatment and avoid inducing vomiting.

Storage and Transportation Methods:
Store in a dry, cool, ventilated, and rain-proof place, away from fire or heat sources. Keep out of reach of children and locked. Do not store or transport with food, beverages, grains, feed, or other commodities.
